Our sustainability philosophy

Our guiding principle of making climate-friendly timber houses accessible to all was closely linked to a well-thought-out sustainability concept right from the start. The question of how we could combine the principles of modularity, flexibility, modernity and compactness of a building with sustainability was at the heart of our considerations.

Our solution: compact houses with minimal consumption and energy surplus! On request, you can get our houses ready to move into, fully equipped or even self-sufficient. Do you need more space? Just expand your house. Moving planned? Just take your house with you — our answer to changing times!

A full-fledged house with the insulation and sound values of a conventional residential building, but reduced to the most necessary space: Our compact houses optimize the living space per occupant from an average of 46 to 33 square meters (or less). Optimum insulation reduces energy consumption by 30%, and in conjunction with a photovoltaic system, we reach passive or plus energy levels.

Our photovoltaic systems are installed or integrated on the roof or in the terrace roof. A battery storage system in the technical room ensures that the electricity generated by the PV system is stored until you need it. A charging station in the carport allows you to reliably charge your e-car at home.

Attractive loans from KfW Bank for “renewable energy” are also available to ensure a reliable supply of electricity. Optionally, you can also use a self-sufficient water supply with a rainwater collection system. Your Heise house can be completely self-sufficient if you wish. However, we recommend a connection to the public supply network and it is also mandatory, at least in Germany.

But that's not all — we are pursuing balanced sustainability dimensions and are already on the right track!

Summarized here:

This comprehensive approach to sustainability forms the basis of our vision: to make high-quality, climate-friendly housing solutions accessible to all, while focusing on the principles of social, economic and environmental responsibility.

We have already achieved a great deal, but we are still working hard to do more.
